Car Insurance

Please call us today on 028 20762353 to receive a quote for your vehicle insurance. To speed up the process, it is helpful if you have the following details to hand:

  • Driver details: DOB, occupation, accidents/penalty points.
  • Car details: make, model, type, year and size of engine
  • Household details: address, postcode, garaging information, main usage
  • Required coverage and any extensions such as Protected No Claims Discount

The options

Fully Comprehensive is the most expensive and covers everything from damage to your car, personal injury costs and any third party's vehicle and property.

Fully Comprehensive insurance covers everything from damage to your vehicle to injury costs and the property of any third party. This is the most expensive type of insurance. Sometimes annual comprehensive premiums can cost more than the car is worth, but it is essential for cars bought using a credit agreement or loan.

Third party is a cheaper type of insurance and is the minimum cover required legally. In its most basic form, it covers damage to the vehicle of a third party, but if your own car is damaged it is not covered. However, you can augment your third party with add-ons such as Fire and Theft.

The costs

There are many factors affecting the price of a premium, for example: type of car, the age, sex, occupation and address of the driver(s). We are able to compare the prices offered by different insurers to make sure you get the best deal available for your circumstances.

No Claims Discount

Typically, there is a 30% discount after 1 year of claim-free driving, rising to about 65% after four or five years. Companies vary though, with some specialising in younger drivers and offering higher discounts at an earlier stage.

Some companies now offer no claims bonus protection, in other words you may be allowed to make two minor claims in three years before your bonus is affected. This may depend on whether the claim is ‘at-fault’ or ‘not at fault’.

Making a claim

Making a claim can often be a complex process, with many forms to fill out and different parties to inform. If you require any assistance in making a claim, then please contact us, by phone or in person, and one of our staff will assist you with this process.
